Emma Spitzer

I begin my process by putting all my thoughts onto paper. Jotting down notes and sketching rough ideas helps me wrap my head around every possibility that occurs to me, regardless if they are good or bad. Visualizing my brain into something tangible allows me to begin organizing the opportunities. On some occasions, envisioning partially-formed ideas sparks inspiration for a unique and exciting design that might have otherwise been overlooked. Holding back keeps me from learning about my tools and myself as a creative. So I ask myself, what’s the harm in going a little nuts?
